Il Mercato delle Gaite Bevagna

See what life was like between 1250 and 1350 in this excellently organised and beautiful event in Bevagna (already in itself a gem to visit).

Everybody is wearing the costumes of that era. You can taste local products, buy them from small shops like it used to be. Old trades are on show as well.

The 4 quarters of the town (called Gaite) are competing with each other.
